Antonio is more of a striker than Yarmo

But what would of been nice 2nd half is Bowen to play up top alongside him and play a diamond behind them. Bowen had some lovely moments first half and a eye for goal yet was stuck out on the right wing. Switch him and Antonio for a bit or play them as a two and try and get back in the game

I thought we did well yesterday and showed we will stay up.
I agree Haz, Antonio is also good on the left, but wasted as the front man. I’d like to see Silva given a few goes, even if it is just as a sub in the 2nd half.
But hay, Ithink Moyes listened to us about dropping Anderson and Ngakia.

Re: ⚽ Spurs v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Antonio is going to get next to nothing for us as a forward. Play him in what has ALWAYS been his best position, on the right wing and I guarantee he'll get more goals from there, than as a forward. It is not fuckin rocket science!

And yes, try Yarmo up front. If that doesn't work then try Silva or even Ajeti. Neither of those three can be any worse up front then Antonio. And I'm not even having a go at Antonio as a player, just NOT UP FRONT.

Are you listening Moyes, you jock thickshake?

Re: ⚽ Spurs v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Before the first kick in the resumption of soccer Moyes was lauding the praises of Wilshere, two defeats and zero goals yet he hasn't had a kick!!

We need a manager to lift the gloom which must be descending on the dressing room and that clearly is beyond Moyes capability.

That show last night All but confirmed it for me. Being beaten by spurs normally pisses me off for a couple of days but I'm not even the slightest bit bothered.

I actually agree. But the problem is he's a better target man than Bowen. I know that isn't saying much but we dont really have choices right now.

Remember unless Ajeti plays striker there is no senior available in that position who has any experience scoring goals for us.

Also, Antonio isn't the best crosser of the ball.

If you really want radical, put Diop up top! Probably scored more goals than any of our actual strikers! :-)

a) a racist
b) an attention whore
c) has a rather large missus who rather likes his mates

Mr Antonio... one goal in every 5 games ... is about as much a center forward as Paul Hilton... or Ian Pearce... or Mike Newell....etc

You are an old poster though, aren't you?

Just don't have the balls to admit it.

Re: ⚽ Spurs v West Ham - Official Match Thread
Antonio is better wide as his pace means a full back has to mark him and he can bully them physically
He is too restricted against taller opponents centrally
Ironically Yarmolenko is too immobile to play wide and can use his superior skill centrally against Centre halves.
Give him 60 or 70 mins then just throw Silva on to give us some movement

Fair call
Moyes doesn’t react
And laughably the change to 5 subs has seen him not even use the previous 3 subs despite no goals and no chances created.
We are going to our fate without a whimper
Still say a bet on nil goals scored in the last nine games is worth consideration

How much of a goal threat has 2 goals this season Antonio been in the last couple of games?

His best games for us has pretty much always been on the right wing. If he plays, you stick him there. He's not a striker.

So yes, I would probably play one (or two) of the actual forwards who are fit up front, instead of a right winger who doesn't really play well there.

Re: ⚽ Spurs v West Ham - Official Match Thread
first 22min was alright.

at the water break Mourinho changed his formation. Last ten minutes of the half we were lucky not to concede. Moyes did nothing.
Jode told his team at half time, just keep playing like the last ten mins. Moyes saw the game change and did nothing at half time.
2nd half, as a few on here posted, the game was stretched and we looked too open. Moyes did nothing. The first goal was unfortunate but you could see it coming.

Moyes doesnt react to anything apart from going 1-0 down.
They called him 'dithering dave' as man united - you can see why.

"So you pick a team without any actual forwards in it?"

We dont have any fit strikers with experience scoring goals at this level. What do you expect? thats why we're playing Antonio right?

Might point is we need a bit of class in the final third. Wilshire and Yarma have that. We dont really have a playmaker who is functional at all.

ideally Anderson should always be played in the middle not wide as he could provide that but is shit so lets try jack.

Re: ⚽ Spurs v West Ham - Official Match Thread
------Bowen Antonio Yarmalenko
------Soueck Wilshire Rice
Creswell Ogbonna Diop Johnson

or play 3 at the back (not sure Fredrick's is worth the trouble)

Bowen Antonio Yarmalenko
----------Wilshire
Soucek Rice Fornals
Creswell Ogbonna Diop

We need a cutting edge in attack, a playmaker really. Lanzini is shit, Anderson is having a laugh.. Wilshire is the last hope right now.
